“A Buzzard’s World”
We were boating down a bayou in South Louisiana. The once lush habitat for wildlife had been ravaged by previous hurricanes. The water became brackish, salt mixed with fresh, and the trees died. How odd? In the dead heat of summer where the tree’s are usually green, there wasn’t a leaf in sight. Yet, these trees? They were the world to the buzzards. They were a bird that thrived baring bones; how appropriate they thrived on bare boned trees. Julia Claire
